    The first time I traveled outside the country was with an organization affiliated with my high school. Arriving in Panama was such an eye opening experience as I discovered, my bubble in Oakland California was exactly that, a bubble. This trip sparked my love and enthusiasm for travel. I began to explore as much as I could with hardly any money, but my passion always made a way for it. Once I got to college, I started planning trips throughout the years for my friends and I to take. Coordinating these experiences easily became a hobby of mine; I found joy in cultivating itineraries and providing a space for my friends to feel safe leaving the country, (some for the first time) while eagerly waiting for the date to arrive. If possible, I believe that everyone should get outside of their comfort zones and see how breath-taking and informative this world can be first-hand. It's one thing to learn about one's culture, but to be immersed into it, it is life-changing. Fly Like Us gives us the opportunity to offer people an experience outside of what’s familiar, and that is what I am most excited for, to share and ignite the fire for travel within me to you! And our goal is to make it as accessible as possible.

    Hi, I’m Gianna - a fun loving gal who’s got a passion for travel in her veins, and community in her heart.

    Some of my earliest and most formative memories were made traveling with my mom- discovering new cities, tasting unfamiliar foods, and connecting with people from all walks of life. Travel quickly became more than something I did; it became part of who I am.

    As I got older, that love evolved. I began traveling with friends, revisiting places I already loved and discovering entirely new ones together. With every trip, my appreciation for travel deepened -but what surprised me most was realizing that my greatest joy didn’t come from the act of traveling alone. It came from sharing those experiences with others and watching everything click for them.

    There’s something incredibly special about seeing someone step into a new culture, gain fresh perspective, and light up in a place they once only imagined. Being part of those moments - has been one of the most fulfilling and purposeful experiences of my life.

Who We Are

FlyLikeUs was created from lived experience - by travelers who understand both the beauty and the challenges that can come with exploration.

Throughout our journeys, we’ve experienced the realities of traveling solo, navigating unfamiliar places as women, and the additional considerations that can come with being a person of color abroad. We know firsthand how important it is to feel safe, supported, and comfortable while traveling - and how intimidating it can be to take that first step into the unknown.

That understanding is at the heart of everything we do.

Our mission is to create space for people who crave adventure but may feel held back by fear, uncertainty, or the idea of doing it alone. Whether you’ve never traveled internationally, worry about safety, don’t know where to start, or simply want a more supported way to see the world - we’re here to help.

That said, FlyLikeUs is also for the travelers who just want to have fun, experience a new country, and leave the planning to someone else. If you’re excited to explore, laugh, eat good food, and make memories without stressing over logistics - you’re in for a treat.

We curate small, thoughtfully planned group trips that prioritize safety, cultural connection, and genuine community. By working with trusted local partners and handling all the behind-the-scenes details, we allow our travelers to focus on what truly matters: being present, enjoying the journey, and forming real connections.
