Day five invites us to explore the heart and soul of Lake Atitlán. We’ll hop on a lancha and cruise across the water to San Juan, where we’ll enjoy breakfast before strolling through the vibrant Walk of Arts, known for its colorful murals and locally made crafts. Here, we’ll also take part in a coffee tour and visit a bee sanctuary, offering a deeper look into the region’s traditions and sustainable practices. Later, we’ll continue around the lake to San Marcos, home to the stunning Cerro Tzankujil nature preserve, where you’ll have the chance to cliff jump into the crystal-clear water or simply relax and take in the scenery. At both stops, there will be plenty of time to wander, shop for souvenirs, and - if the mood strikes - maybe even get a spontaneous tattoo to commemorate the adventure.
